Malappuram: Busting a money trade racket, police have seized Rs 39.98 lakh in Rs 2,000 category notes at Tirur region in the area and captured a man, as of now confronting a hawala case, in this association.
While Rs three lakh was seized from 63-year-old Shoukath Ali at the transport remain in Tirur, Rs 36.98 lakh in Rs 2,000 notes was recuperated from the living arrangement of an agent, police said, taking note of the seizure and capture were made yesterday.
